Greetings!

My name is Sydney, but my friends and family call me "Syd."

I'm 8 years-old and have lived all of my life thus far in San Diego, California with my mom, dad, and younger brother. My favorite subject in school is writing and my teachers have always commented on how I seem to have an endless amount of things to share once my pencil hits the paper!

My family loves to travel and my parents took me on my first flight when I was just 8 weeks-old. For as long as I can remember, I have loved visiting new places, meeting new people, trying new foods, learning about different customs and cultures, and hearing different languages being spoken. 

I started this blog because I wanted to share stories of our family trip to Europe in the summer of 2018, right after I finished 2nd grade. I'm excited to share pictures and stories of my travels, both near and far.

This blog will grow along with me. For now, my mom will be helping me with some of my posts and will add her own comments and notes after I have shared my own thoughts and memories. She is a super-planner and organizer, so her notes might be helpful to those of you who are planning a trip!
